Breaking ground

In less than a week, the garden went from this:

to this:

In the far right row, where the yellow string is, we planted sugar peas and regular peas. The back half of the left row is spinach. The rest is waiting for slightly warmer temperatures.

We also trimmed back some extra branches – and by we, I mean Tomi did all the hard work while I held the branches and kept them from harming my precious freshly-turned soil. Between those two trees is where my hammock chair is going to go. As soon as I buy one. Or make one…
